This 20”x16” fine art archival print with accented “Diamond Dust” comes in a black museum gallery frame with accompanying certificate of authenticity and matching holographic seals. Our “Diamond Dust” prints are crafted in London, following the process used by Andy Warhol and Russell Young to add flair and shine to iconic pieces. The process uses ground glass glitter which is applied after an even layer of archival adhesive is screen printed onto the surface of the print. A 50/50 mix of thick and thin glass glitter is created to achieve maximum impact.
Classic image featuring legendary Italian film actress Sophia Loren pouring champagne into a fancy glass, on New Year's Eve, 1962, just one year after she rose to international acclaim.
Sophia Loren began her film career in 1951 and came to be regarded as one of the worlds most beautiful women. In 1960, Loren completed what would become the most acclaimed performance of her career in Two Women. In a film with parallels to her own childhood, Loren played a mother desperately trying to provide for her daughter in war-ravaged Rome. The film transformed Loren into an international celebrity, winning her the 1961 Academy Award for Best Lead Actress. She was the first actress ever to win the award for a non-English-language film.
